In a recent article (today), by Darren Hatfield, he suggested carrying over $10,000 dollars in consumer debt as a good thing. The argument he makes in his article is that the legal limit for debt settlement consideration is $10,000. Great. Good. That's fine Mr. Hatfield.

What Should I do with my tax refund?

Today's the big day! Since April 15th fell on Sunday, taxes are all due today. It's the favorite day of the year for so many people. Procrastination. Don't want to pay. Whatever your reason for waiting, there are many people who will actually receive a refund this year.

Should I reduce my debt or build wealth? What exactly is it that God wants me to do in my life? Yes.

Debt Reduction: A Blessing & A Curse

In 1998, I was at the point of proposal to my wife. I was 'heavily' in debt. I say heavily, because at that time I owed approximately $6,000 on all of my folly and was only earning $1900 per month before taxes were taken out. At least $350 per month of my hard earned prosperity was walking right out the door. I couldn't seem to get ahead. I wanted to get married, but not with all that debt!
