What is Financial Apologetics?
In a stroke of genius the other day, Co-Founder, David Libby, finally figured out what we do...lol. For the last few years we've been teaching Christians the importance of Stewardship in their daily walk with God in this life. Financial stewardship is important as we've discussed previously.
What we've struggled with is how to explain what it is we do when people ask. David has been studying Cultural Apologetics as of late and realized that finances fall under the culture of the day. Read more [...]
Olympic Gold: The pursuit of Dreams
It's been a little while since my last post. I'll explain as I get into this post. Before I do, I'd like to ask you about your favorite Olympic moment in the past few weeks.
What is it about watching Olympians from ages 15 up to 45 compete for the gold? In a world of complete disunity, war, strife, economic struggles, and angst, how is that these athletes can come together on the World's stage to compete at amazing and inspiring levels that you and I may only dream of ever achieving? The Truth about Financial Sin?
It's 4:36 in the morning. I've been up for quite some time now. I have a condition that causes me to lose sleep while I'm on the road away from my family. I miss them too much. As a result, days are long and nights are longer. It's amazing how not getting the right amount of sleep can have such a profound affect on a person.
That's gotten me thinking about money and sin. How do I define financial sin? It's an interesting question none the less, so I will attempt to tackle this Read more [...]
Financially Desperate Times
IN recent years, the global economy has experienced a meltdown unlike anything we've seen since the Great Depression of the 1930's. Real unemployment rates hover somewhere in the mid teens, and people are getting desperate financially. Isn't it time to do something about this?
Here's the million dollar question. Who's responsibility is it to do something about the economy? Let's take a look at a very famous story from Hebrew history and see where we can find application.

Reality Check: Financial Freedom Ain’t FREE
A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
Humility and the fear of the Lord bring wealth and honor and life.
~ Proverbs 22:3
I am often amazed at the number of people who complain about their financial position, want help, but then refuse help when it is offered. This week has been a busy week talking with a lot of people about The Money Book for Teens as well as our new Coaching program, My Money Coach.
I receive phone calls frequently Read more [...]

Debt Reduction: A Blessing & A Curse
In 1998, I was at the point of proposal to my wife. I was 'heavily' in debt. I say heavily, because at that time I owed approximately $6,000 on all of my folly and was only earning $1900 per month before taxes were taken out. At least $350 per month of my hard earned prosperity was walking right out the door. I couldn't seem to get ahead. I wanted to get married, but not with all that debt!
Maybe you can relate to my struggle. I spent some time in counsel with my pastor and bought Read more [...]

3 Keys to Biblical Abundance in Difficult Financial Times!
In the middle of the night, in September of 2006, Albuquerque banker, Joshua Christensen suddenly woke from a deep sleep and pounded out a mission statement to change the world through Fiscal Stewardship. Since 1996, he has helped thousands of believers in financial council, but in 2006, he did not know what his new mission meant. A very short time later, in January of 2008, he lead his first small group discussion based on the Read more [...]
Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous: Biblical Figures edition
Who was a Great Steward of God's household?
Who squandered all he was given?
Who lost everything & yet gained 100x what he lost?
All this and more!
It's Thursday. I've been reviewing several of the very animated characters throughout the Bible, and it's interesting to me that there's not a 'rich & famous' profile section of all the Biblical Greats!
Of course, there wouldn't be since God is less concerned about our financial wealth and more concerned with our Spiritual Health & Read more [...]
The Yeast of the Pharisees
“When they went across the lake, the disciples forgot to take bread. "Be careful," Jesus said to them. "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees." They discussed this among themselves and said, "It is because we didn't bring any bread." Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, "You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread? Do you still not understand? Don't you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls Read more [...]
